ISO 55001-aligned asset management system development for a utility-scale solar PV operator — from policy and governance structure through to RCM-based O&M strategy and SAMP.
The operator was scaling its utility-scale solar PV portfolio and needed a structured asset management system to underpin long-term O&M performance, investor confidence and regulatory compliance. Existing O&M arrangements lacked the governance structure and systematic approach required for ISO 55001 alignment.
Optimal developed the full ISO 55001-aligned asset management system from the ground up — establishing the policy and objectives framework, defining organisational roles and accountabilities, and developing the SAMP to guide asset investment and O&M strategy. An RCM study was applied to the critical inverter, tracker and HV systems to establish a defensible, risk-based O&M strategy.
The operator established a structured, investor-ready asset management system that positioned the portfolio for long-term performance optimisation. The SAMP provided the strategic framework for O&M budget planning and capital allocation across the operating portfolio.
