Two-platform RCM study and maintenance strategy review covering all rotating and static equipment — delivering CMMS-ready maintenance schedules for power generation, compression and process systems.
The operator was running two offshore platforms with legacy maintenance schedules built on time-based intervals developed at commissioning. Equipment criticality had shifted with production profile changes, and unplanned downtime on power generation and compression was creating production deferment and regulatory compliance risk.
Optimal deployed a structured RCM programme across both platforms simultaneously. Asset registers were validated against physical equipment, criticality assessments performed for all systems, and failure mode analysis applied to all rotating and static plant. The programme was executed by Optimal engineers working offshore in structured rotations.
The operator achieved a measurable reduction in unplanned downtime on power generation within six months of CMMS implementation. Maintenance planning confidence improved significantly, and the programme formed the basis for the operator’s ongoing reliability improvement strategy.
