Simultaneous structural integrity survey (SANS 10400) of the six-storey corporate headquarters building and engineering asset condition assessment of six critical building systems — including generator sets, chillers, HV transformers, UPS and fire systems.
The client required a comprehensive, simultaneous assessment of both the structural integrity of the six-storey corporate headquarters and the condition of its critical engineering assets — including building services, power systems and fire protection. The assessment needed to be completed with minimal disruption to the occupied building and deliver an actionable asset condition baseline.
Optimal deployed a multi-discipline assessment team to conduct the structural integrity survey to SANS 10400 standard simultaneously with the engineering asset condition assessment. Six critical building systems were assessed against manufacturer specifications and expected service life, with condition ratings and remediation recommendations at system and component level.
The client received a comprehensive, defensible asset condition baseline across both the building structure and its critical engineering systems — providing the foundation for capital planning, insurance review and facilities maintenance strategy development.
